SEX CRIMES IN THE CHURCH
Thousands of children are molested in churches across the country in churches. Yes, you read that right. IN CHURCHES! And it is for this reason alone that you should have a church security team in place with their primary focus on protecting the children FIRST and then develop your security plan from here.
Anyone who does not start by protecting the children first, does not understand the seriousness of this issue. Or, they are not qualified to be in charge of the security team. Any Pastor or leader that does not agree with protecting the children first is no true leader, or man of God, and that should concern you.
Children do not choose to be victims, adults DO! It is our duty to protect these innocent lives from workers that may seek to violate them. We MUST take every precautionary measure possible to prevent paid staff and volunteers from being alone with children at any time. There is no good reason for children to be behind closed doors with one person.
